PUSiT's UPDATE (+) KUNDiMAN BLUES... Apir!!!

Yelow everyone!!! Medyo matagal nasundan ang aking last post... may nagtatanong bakit di pa ako nagpo-post ng bagong entry at may nagsu-suggest ng update dahil bakit puro dalaw lang, comments & tags lang ginagawa ko... Ok, ok, ok... Request Permitted!!! Ehehehehe... eto na po ang aking Update!!! Ehehehe... Apir!!!

Last weeks, may Circuit Overseer Visit ang aming congregation & it's a whole week of busy work (Spiritual Work) kaya medyo busy... Then, before the visit reach it's end... our congregation organized a gathering for them (the C.O. w/ his wife & the Sub-C.O. w/ his wife) for showing them our appreciation & gratefulness for their service. The gathering was composed of some programs like a Dance number performed by the "S.B. Dancers" (they performed the new version of L.A. Walk), a Drama that has lessons to think off (composed of children & not so-old guys!!! hehehe...) & a Live! Song number performed by the "S.B. Singers" and ehem... ehem... including me as their Guitarist!!! Ahahaha!!! *yabang noh???* Hahahahaha!!! Joke!!! (btw: S.B. stands for 'San Bartolome') And ang performance namin ang malupet kasi KUNDIMAN ang binanatan namin!!! Oha!!! Apir!!!

BTW, I want to share the story behind this kundiman number we prepared... We sang a Kundiman Medley & at first, napakahirap makuha ang tono kasi lahat kami di pa alam ang song & ngayon lang namin lahat napakinggan yung song na kinanta lang ng naka-isip na yun ang kantahin (teka ang gulo noh? basta intindihin niyo na lang...)!!! Dahil sa luma na, they can't get a copy of that song "3/4 Medley" by "Celeste Legaspi" & kahit sa cassette tape na obsolete na din siguro!!! Kamote!!! Kaya, habang kinakanta ng naka-isip ang song, ako naman ay kapa ng kapa sa guitar baka sakaling makuha ko ang tono... Ayun, medyo nakuha naman pero di talaga namin alam kung paano kakantahin ito!!! After 2 days, GOOD NEWS!!! Someone got a copy of the CD of Celeste Legaspi (Oha!!! CD pa at hind na talaga Cassette tape!!! wehehehe!!!) & we heard the song & KAMOTE!!! ang hirap pala ng mga Filipino folk/Kundiman songs talaga!!! Dahil may CD na, akala ko hindi na ako mag-gigitara & ligtas na ako... but... the coordinator asked me again that we will not going to use the CD or being accompanied by it kumbaga ayaw nila ng Lip-Sync, I will still continue to play the guitar para mas maganda daw!!! WWWAAAHHH!!! WWWEEEHHH!!! WWWIIIHHH!!! WWWOOOHHH!!! WWWUUUHHH!!! Kamote talaga!!! Dahil yun ang gusto nila eh ano pa nga ba magagawa ko... so susundin ko sila!!! That's why they lend me the CD para mapag-aralan ko ito... And pag-uwing-pag-uwi sa bahay... upo sa PC, copied it as MP3, got my guitar, listen to it & kapa!!! kapa!!! kapa!!! Ayos!!! Nag-umpisa ako ng 10:00 PM at natapos ako ng 2:00 AM at 45% lang ng tono ng whole song ang nakuha ko!!! I'm really desperate dahil kinabukasan may praktis at our coordinator is hoping na makuha ko na ang tune asap... Dahil pressured ako, I texted him na: "Kuya, di ko po talaga makuha ang tune ng kanta, pwede po kay CD na lang?" Pero, pagdating sa praktis... talagang guitar pa din ang gusto!!! Huhuhuhu!!! Kelangan ko talaga pag-aralan pa ng husto!!! Dahil medyo tinoyo na ako... talagang binuhos ko ang aking pandinig at pinag-aralan ng husto ang takbo ng kanta at kamote!!! Hahahahaha!!! Akala nyo ha!!! On our last praktis ng Saturday, may 85% na ako at almost buo na!!! YYYEEESSS!!! So, masaya na at nakakanta na namin ng maayos, may choreography na din & almost perfect na ang tugtog namin... The next day... the BIG DAY!!! Hala!!! Hahahahaha!!! I got the 95% of the whole song & katunog na niya ung record!!! MAS YEESSS!!! Apir!!! Hahahaha!!! After the meeting, we went to the venue, made our last practice & then... the moment of truth!!! The KUNDiMAN BLUES!!! Ayun!!! Everybody enjoyed what we prepared & especially the oldies who heard it. After the performance, one of our older brother (Bro. Harap) told me that he enjoyed it very well & he felt that it brought them back to their younger days & reminisce their times!!! Hehehe... nakakatuwa dahil they (the audience) appreciate what we've done & first time ko din tumugtog ng 6-minute song na pure Kundiman na medley!!! Hahahahaha!!! Apir!!!

Then another thing made me busy is my Public Talk... (I use 'is' not 'was' bcoz I'm still typing it... di pa tapos eh... hehehe) Kasi may naiwan pa akong Public Talk sa aking ex-congregation (Sta. Cruz Cong.) sa November 12 & kailangan kong gampanan ang speech na yun... hehehehe!!! Kaya medyo busy pa din ako kaka-type ng aking speech!!! Pero the good thing, malapit nang matapos ang aking talk at malapit ko na ding mabisita ang aking naiwang congregation... I missed my friends there... Ayun lang... Apir!!!

Yelow guys!!! Apir muna!!! Hehehehe... This post is still not really far from my previous post regarding MUSiC coz' this post is still in the sbject of MUSiC!!! Well, I've been tagged (but not really) by YOROKOBEE!!! (Hello BEE!!! Apir!!!) In this "meme," the tagged person must post his/her 7 favorite songs (artist/album/band) ewan!!! Hehehe... tapos yun, 'WHY' that & songs ang favorite mu... So BEE, here's my list & hope you bloggers know or even remember the familiar lines of my list... hehehe... Apir!!!

>> This song of John Mayer is really a favorite of mine... The lyrics of the song is kinda' symbolical or you erally need to hear & analyze the lyrics to know what's the meaning of the story (song)... Teh meaning of the song hides in the thought of every lines... Ang Galing!!! For me, the chorus is so meaningful... finding the one really gives a BIG SMILE on your face... but in the flow of the song... in the end, there's a silence that really makes those Big Smiles fly away... Yeah, 'Fallin' in-love in a wrong person for all the right reasons...' Apir!!!
(2) Duncan Shiek - Half-life = ["Maybe, I need to see the daylight, leave behind the half-life, don't you see I'm breaking down... Lately, some here don't feel right, this is just a half-life, is there really no escape, no escape from time, in any kind?"]

>> Finding someone is like looking something in the dark... we need a daylight (criteria of the person e.g. attitude, personality, etc.) to find the one who fits us and finish our half-life to become a whole one... Searching really breaks us... but 'patience is a virtue' & time will tell who's the one to complete us. Apir!!!

>> Kinda' MARTYR SONG but it's not... It's a song for 'true persons' out there! There are times that the one we really love become cold, need to find another nest... It hurts, but in this song... it tells to be open minded in times like these. Think: "If the person we love doesn't love us anymore & not happy on our side, are you gonna be happy?" NO!!! Let him/her go!!! Pasyal-pasyal muna siya!!! Hehehe... Yeah, it's a loss... but, think... it's a BIG LOSS if we still continue livin' in a big lie that he/she doesn't love you anymore... "It don't matter!!!!" As song goes by... "TIME IS ON MY SIDE!!!" There's someone for you!!! Apir!!!

May mabilis maka-move on (GOOD!!!) may matagal (ahmmm, bilisan mu, kawawa ka lang...) din naman... "Time will heal" all the bad things happened to us & with an open heart that ready for reconcilation... forgive & forget... you will WIN!!! Apir!!!

Ahmmm, not in words but in actions... serbisyong totoo kumbaga... hindi kasi ako vocal person pagdating sa ganyan but I can show it sa 'gawa!' "ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS" In that case, I can say to her that: "I'm the one who wants to be the next to be with you... Sana maramdaman mo..." Ayun!!! "PUSiT's" MUSiC... (+) My 1st Composition... Apir!!!

MUSiC... What is MUSiC???

Kaw PUSiT, for you, 'What is MUSiC?'

In our daily life, music really makes our day!!! Whatever type of music or genre we listen in - kundiman man ito, pop, Rn'B, Hip-Hop or makabasag-bungong hardrock - it uplifts the spirit & the soul of a person... It even influences the way we act, the way we dress-up, the style, the hair-do, the way of speaking & for some... it's the way of life. Yeah, MUSiC is a Language! MUSiC is a Culture! MUSiC is Life! MUSiC is "YOU!!!"

Why MUSiC is "YOU???"

I pointed "You" or even "Me" or 'anybody' else around there ('Us'), coz MUSiC is one of our passions... even the person not really inclined in MUSiC... when he/she needs to relax, to be active or to be alive or just to chill... MUSiC is the answer!!! Or even when in an emotional confussion mode... it soothes the soul. It even inspires us to do the things we don't really do... Parang ang impossible ay possible!!! Paano? Hindi ba kapag masaya ka, kung anu-ano ang nagagawa mong lyrics na masaya kahit ano na lang ang tono??? Ohhh... diba??? Tapos naman pag malungkot ka o sawi sa pag-ibig, nandiyan na gusto mong mag-isa sa loob ng iyong kwato at mag-emote ng mag-emote habang pinapakinggan ang mga sad love songs o kaya naman nagvi-Video-Oke ka at kumakanta ng 'My Way' habang umiiyak-iyak??? O kaya naman, bigla na lang kukunin mo ang gitara mo at kukuha ng bolpen at papel at gagawa o magko-compose ng songs na very deep ang words & meaning na parang ikaw lang ang nakaka-unawa!!! Oha!!! Diba??? Ganyan ang karamihan sa atin???!!! Hehehe... Lupet diba???!!! Kaya nga MUSiC ay para sa lahat!!! Because of this larger that life demand of MUSiC, almost everything ng gamit ngayon may tugtog... Dati ang cellphone, monotone lang masaya na tayo... nang maging polytone!!! lalong sumaya!!! Di-nagtagal, naging '.wav' at .mp3 na ang tones!!! Lalong sumaya ang happy!!! Kaya ngayon, di mo na alam ang bibilhin mong model na MP3 phones!!! Tapos dati, Walkman lang, naging CDman, tapos may MP3-CDman na tapos ngayon MP3 or MP4 players na!!! Ganyan ka-powerful ang MUSiC!!! Ehehehe... It ROCKS!!! That's why isa ito sa aking passion!!! Kahit anong genre Ok sa'kin... Pero ROCK pa din ang pinaka-favorite ko sa lahat!!! Yeah!!! Apir!!!

Now I've told you the meaning of MUSiC for me... eh, maiba naman tayo... hehehehe... actually, I've already post this a year ago... ang aking 1st composition. Sabi ko nga, it inspires us to do the things we really don't do!!! Just like me, hindi naman talaga ako mahilig mag-compose o gumawa ng mga songs. Although I play guitar & other instruments & kumakanta din at really inclined to MUSiC... I never expected in my whole life that I can do more on just playin, singing or just listening... i can do also 'writings!' Tama!!! The impossible became possible!!! Apir!!! How does it all started???

Ahhmmm, btw, I really like to write songs since after my graduation in college. But I don't know how. I can do freestyle on making lyrics based on the things aroud me, the everyday situation in life or even comic things to loosen problems up but it never inspires me to write!!! But it all began in June of 2005... When there's a big transition in my life that really turns the wheel for me when I'm in a state of emotional dizzyness of some sort that the thing called love is the suspect... Yeah, I'm down & out & even confussed on things happened... To loosen the pressure in my head & heart, I took a mug of coffee (black, no sugar), took my guitar & play the songs runnin' in my mind... then, when I strummed a chord, theres a 'bulb' that *ting!!!* in my head together with some thought of words convoy together & tellin' me: "Hey!!! Why not write song?" So I grab my cell phone, open the 'message box' & instantly write all those words that runnin' in my mind. It took me an hour to finish the song complete with rhythm, melody, beats & arrangements... kulang na lang recording at producer!!! Ehehehehe!!! Apir!!! When I finished it, I told myseft: "Aba! Ayos ah! Nakapag-compose ako? Ok pala pag sawi, madami umiikot na kung anu-ano sa ulo!!!" Hehehehe... sa totoo lang masaya ako na nakagawa din ako ng kanta!!! Yehey dat com!!! Hehehehe... Pero hindi siya rock na talgang maingay... easy listening ang genre at madaling maintindihan ang meaning... Kung titignan, ang korny ng dating pero, "Watta Heck!!!" gawa ko to eh, korny!!! Nope!!! I'm proud of it!!! Apir mga Dudes!!!

Description: Yeah right, a little bit of cheezyness & korny-flick flow of words you'll be encounter in here... hehehe... But inside the korny words, lies the feelings of the person (he/she) who really "likes" or more than like... "loves" the other person, but, then again the person does not have any feelings like the same way you have for him/her and it's really makes you down, low, depress, sick, sad, broke, insomiac, insane, crazy, ahhh... etcetera!!! Just enumerate all the bad feelings that you can think. Yeah, I'd felt it... that's why I made a song out of my frustrated, crazy, stupid love life... Ok, here it is... Judge it ma' friends...
