PUSiT's UPDATE (+) KUNDiMAN BLUES... Apir!!!

Yelow everyone!!! Medyo matagal nasundan ang aking last post... may nagtatanong bakit di pa ako nagpo-post ng bagong entry at may nagsu-suggest ng update dahil bakit puro dalaw lang, comments & tags lang ginagawa ko... Ok, ok, ok... Request Permitted!!! Ehehehehe... eto na po ang aking Update!!! Ehehehe... Apir!!!

Last weeks, may Circuit Overseer Visit ang aming congregation & it's a whole week of busy work (Spiritual Work) kaya medyo busy... Then, before the visit reach it's end... our congregation organized a gathering for them (the C.O. w/ his wife & the Sub-C.O. w/ his wife) for showing them our appreciation & gratefulness for their service. The gathering was composed of some programs like a Dance number performed by the "S.B. Dancers" (they performed the new version of L.A. Walk), a Drama that has lessons to think off (composed of children & not so-old guys!!! hehehe...) & a Live! Song number performed by the "S.B. Singers" and ehem... ehem... including me as their Guitarist!!! Ahahaha!!! *yabang noh???* Hahahahaha!!! Joke!!! (btw: S.B. stands for 'San Bartolome') And ang performance namin ang malupet kasi KUNDIMAN ang binanatan namin!!! Oha!!! Apir!!!

BTW, I want to share the story behind this kundiman number we prepared... We sang a Kundiman Medley & at first, napakahirap makuha ang tono kasi lahat kami di pa alam ang song & ngayon lang namin lahat napakinggan yung song na kinanta lang ng naka-isip na yun ang kantahin (teka ang gulo noh? basta intindihin niyo na lang...)!!! Dahil sa luma na, they can't get a copy of that song "3/4 Medley" by "Celeste Legaspi" & kahit sa cassette tape na obsolete na din siguro!!! Kamote!!! Kaya, habang kinakanta ng naka-isip ang song, ako naman ay kapa ng kapa sa guitar baka sakaling makuha ko ang tono... Ayun, medyo nakuha naman pero di talaga namin alam kung paano kakantahin ito!!! After 2 days, GOOD NEWS!!! Someone got a copy of the CD of Celeste Legaspi (Oha!!! CD pa at hind na talaga Cassette tape!!! wehehehe!!!) & we heard the song & KAMOTE!!! ang hirap pala ng mga Filipino folk/Kundiman songs talaga!!! Dahil may CD na, akala ko hindi na ako mag-gigitara & ligtas na ako... but... the coordinator asked me again that we will not going to use the CD or being accompanied by it kumbaga ayaw nila ng Lip-Sync, I will still continue to play the guitar para mas maganda daw!!! WWWAAAHHH!!! WWWEEEHHH!!! WWWIIIHHH!!! WWWOOOHHH!!! WWWUUUHHH!!! Kamote talaga!!! Dahil yun ang gusto nila eh ano pa nga ba magagawa ko... so susundin ko sila!!! That's why they lend me the CD para mapag-aralan ko ito... And pag-uwing-pag-uwi sa bahay... upo sa PC, copied it as MP3, got my guitar, listen to it & kapa!!! kapa!!! kapa!!! Ayos!!! Nag-umpisa ako ng 10:00 PM at natapos ako ng 2:00 AM at 45% lang ng tono ng whole song ang nakuha ko!!! I'm really desperate dahil kinabukasan may praktis at our coordinator is hoping na makuha ko na ang tune asap... Dahil pressured ako, I texted him na: "Kuya, di ko po talaga makuha ang tune ng kanta, pwede po kay CD na lang?" Pero, pagdating sa praktis... talagang guitar pa din ang gusto!!! Huhuhuhu!!! Kelangan ko talaga pag-aralan pa ng husto!!! Dahil medyo tinoyo na ako... talagang binuhos ko ang aking pandinig at pinag-aralan ng husto ang takbo ng kanta at kamote!!! Hahahahaha!!! Akala nyo ha!!! On our last praktis ng Saturday, may 85% na ako at almost buo na!!! YYYEEESSS!!! So, masaya na at nakakanta na namin ng maayos, may choreography na din & almost perfect na ang tugtog namin... The next day... the BIG DAY!!! Hala!!! Hahahahaha!!! I got the 95% of the whole song & katunog na niya ung record!!! MAS YEESSS!!! Apir!!! Hahahaha!!! After the meeting, we went to the venue, made our last practice & then... the moment of truth!!! The KUNDiMAN BLUES!!! Ayun!!! Everybody enjoyed what we prepared & especially the oldies who heard it. After the performance, one of our older brother (Bro. Harap) told me that he enjoyed it very well & he felt that it brought them back to their younger days & reminisce their times!!! Hehehe... nakakatuwa dahil they (the audience) appreciate what we've done & first time ko din tumugtog ng 6-minute song na pure Kundiman na medley!!! Hahahahaha!!! Apir!!!

Then another thing made me busy is my Public Talk... (I use 'is' not 'was' bcoz I'm still typing it... di pa tapos eh... hehehe) Kasi may naiwan pa akong Public Talk sa aking ex-congregation (Sta. Cruz Cong.) sa November 12 & kailangan kong gampanan ang speech na yun... hehehehe!!! Kaya medyo busy pa din ako kaka-type ng aking speech!!! Pero the good thing, malapit nang matapos ang aking talk at malapit ko na ding mabisita ang aking naiwang congregation... I missed my friends there... Ayun lang... Apir!!!
